30 for 30, Day 23: December in December

Wow, can you guys believe it's December already?  Unlike TCC East, the weather here is most definitely December.  There's the tiniest little snow flakes flying through the air right now, and it's bitter cold.  It was 23 degrees out when I got up at 5:30 to go to the gym this morning.  While walking there in the frigid air, I thought to myself that I must be crazy to be out in this weather just to do some pre-work cardio.  Then I reminded myself that the gym is usually packed at 6am, so I can't be the only crazy person (obviously I'm not crazy if I'm having these inner dialogues, right?).  But as it turns out, I was the only one there.  Nothing wrong with my own private gym, I suppose.

As with the red dress, I definitely set myself up for a tough remix here by adding in this sweater dress.  But it's perfect for cold days, so I'm glad I added it to the list.  As with my first wearing, I had to add some color.  It just looked too dark and drab before I added the scarf.

I hope you have a nice Wednesday!

  1. Hubba hubba! You look stellar in this dress! The way you and SFE have been rocking the sweater dresses lately is making me think I need to bring out a couple more of mine when 30x30 is over.

  2. I agree. You are looking smokin hot lately. First that green cardi, and now this adorbs sweater dress with the cute side buttons. I think I can do a pretty close copy cat of this. When it cools down a bit, weather wise.

  3. We're at low 50s/high 20s right now...it might be almost time for me to pull out my Boden sweater-dress. You're inspiring me with the great sweaterdress looks.

  4. Snowing here this morning, more than sprinkles, and cold, but not frigid yet. Your outfit would be completely appropriate for our weather. I love it--the layering of grays over the black with the red swash, very nice.

  9. LHdM: Do you have other sweater dresses besides that beautiful blue Target wrap one? We'd all love to see them!

Rad: You are too nice! Thanks though, I've been feeling like I must've gained like 20 pounds since Thanksgiving, so at least the photos don't show it. Or I'm angling myself properly ;) I'd love to see a Rad take on this outfit though!

Cynthia: A Boden sweater dress? Oooh. I spied a few of those in their catalog that I'd love to get sometime, but totally don't need.

Charlotte: We got more than sprinkles later in the morning, and on and off this afternoon. It's early enough in the season that it's still pretty :)

Gina: Isn't the snow so pretty now? I was watching the news this morning and they were showing shots of the snow falling against Christmas trees downtown - gorgeous!

    K. Bean: I'm feeling pretty warm on a cold day too - this sweater dress is perfect for the weather

    Rebecca: Thank you!

E-Jo: Bring on the post-30 for 30 sweater dress! I have a growing list of things that I can't wait to wear again next week!

  10. I will wear it tomorrow just for you.

Also: pokepoke, did you get my big e-mail that I sent you on the weekend?

  11. Cynthia: Oh no, I didn't! Rad owns the blog email, and I know she's busy with work stuff, so maybe she didn't see it. If you want, you can send it to me at aeshepherd at gmail dot com

  12. That's the address I sent it to! gmail must have decided I was spamming you.

  13. Cynthia: OH! How annoying! I don't see anything in my spam folder. Unless, were you sending me weight loss tips and sales on Rolex watches? Hmm...

  14. Cynthia: Perhaps I can add you to my contact list so it won't filter you as spam?

  15. Haha. Nope. No rolexes, just some ideas/graphics for that challenge thingy. Add me as a contact, cynthiagibas at gmail dot com, and I will send it again.

  16. You're added! Want me to remove that comment since it has your address?

  17. Sure, I don't need any more Rolexes or Viagra right now. I'll re-send the message in a minute.

  18. Am I the only member of StyleNation who doesn't own a sweater dress? How did this happen? I'm certain I can't top this look though. I love this dress with the pop of pink.
