School's out (for winter)

OK, not exactly yet, but soon.  I give my last final at 5:30.  I should go into school early and take care of lots of business.  I spent a while figuring out today's outfit, because I want to causal, but still a bit more polished than the students (harder for the night classes, where many student work 9-5 jobs in the financial services).  I started with  Peter Pan tights, and found this old, second hand jersey hoodie (in the depths of the closet), which is too puffy to wear by itself but works nicely under a denim jacket (which I hope will work nicely under a wintery coat).
Is StyleNation off of work (or teaching, for the academic types) for the next few weeks?  I hope that you have a great Monday, whether you're at work, hanging out with your family, or traveling.

Dress: H&M

  1. Good outfit. It all works together nicely.

Classes are over here. All I have to do for the next three weeks is write papers.

  2. Very, very nice. Hair, glasses, use of some color subtle thought it may be, the layering of the clothes with regard to the tops and the socks and tights.... And I especially like the use of different patters which are still kept together by a common or similar color.

  3. What a fab mix of patterns! I love that you turned up the cuffs on your jacket to let the green color peek out.

My work shuts down for the holidays starting this Friday, so I'll get a nice long break.

  4. I love the hoodie jacket combo and have yet to try it.

My grades were turned in late Saturday afternoon, but I woke up this morning from a nightmare that one set of the grade rosters hadn't registered and it was the registrar calling to chide me into action. Make take a day or two to get used to having nothing to do.

  8. I had to think about what peter pan tights were for a moment...
I think you have accomplished casual, but polished, and I love the mix of patterns!

    Enjoy your break!

  9. Woman, I love this outfit. Especially the green tights with your lace-up brown boots. Also, what dress is that? Have we seen it all on its own? Can we in a future remix?

Also (x2), wooHOO! Yer done! It's awesome, isn't it?
