Repeat

I was running a little late this morning, so excuse the crappy photo quality here.  Something must've been in front of my camera to cause the blur at the bottom, but I didn't notice that until I got to the office to upload my pictures (I know, what a productive use of company time and resources!).  Jude is looking especially eager, but it's because he knows it's time for his morning walk and breakfast.

I had a hard time getting dressed this morning since I wore jeans yesterday, and wanted to wear them again today being casual Friday and all.  For as good as blogs are at making us really think about what to wear each day, sometimes they also seem to add pressure.  Are jeans and a sweater too boring?  Should I pair that with more exciting accessories?

Speaking of accessories, I did add a navy scarf to this once I got to work.  It was really cold this morning (35!) so I was already wearing a scarf, gloves and ear warmers for my walk to the train, and I just kept the scarf.  Here's a shot of it, looking just lovely under the fluorescent lights of my office.

Does the blogosphere ever make you over-think your outfits?

I'm off to our office blood drive to earn some free cookies, and looking forward to the weekend.  I hope you all have a nice weekend!

  1. I definitely over-think my outfits. Sometimes I'll put on something I like, and then start questioning if it is blog-worthy.

You look cute, and I like the scarf.

  2. I like the pictures of you in your glasses at your desk. You are all business, but still stylish. Nice.
Kudos for giving blood. I hope that you have a relaxing weekend.

  3. I like that we get to see you being fabulous in your office.

I think the blogosphere would like me to accessorize way more than I do. Sometimes I give in to peer pressure and try that. But I'm a simple girl. Wearing more than five major things (discounting socks and underwear) just makes me feel over-done. The blogosphere would also like me to wear four inch heels, to which I say "phbbbt".

  4. Love the cardigan! Agree with rad--totally business stylish!

Blogosphere does make me rethink outfits. Like, I still really need a belt, preferably 15.

  5. Great photo of you at work looking all business-y. As for outfit pressure, when I first started I did over think but that changed. I figured my blog was about what I really wore and trying new looks etc. I post the simple, the good, the bad, the comfy, the boring. So, post what you wear, no pressure. It's what we want to see anyways.

  6. I like the work photo and the blend of colors. And yes, I do feel pressure to come up with something unusual in my outfits, even if it's casual. I only do three or four outfit posts each week so that allows some days "off."

  7. I don't even HAVE a fashion blog and sometimes I think, IF I had a fashion blog, this outfit would not be on it.

That orchid-y purple is great on you, Anne.
