I wore this outfit to work my shift at my Community Supported Agriculture over in Crown Heights. Let me tell how much I like local organic local veggies- a whole lot. They are pretty exciting. Especially since the local grocery stores have produce that smells like industrial cleaning fluid. Since August, I've been drinking green smoothies (my ma got me a Blendtec years ago, and now we're drinking them almost daily). When I can't drink them (lazy, no organic kale), I get a $4 veggie juice from this dude who runs a juice/smoothie cart on 58th St. Sometimes, it's so awesome to live/work in NY.
This is my idea of joining "team color" by the way. Buster approves. Just so you know.
Hope you had a lovely Tuesday.

Those carrots are beautiful. I have a dress that features those colors...
ReplyDeleteHurrah for fresh vegetables!!You look great! I second that carrot remark - those are some 'handsome' root veggies.
ReplyDeleteRad, you are working the awesome props this week! First the ridiculously cute Buster, now the beautiful organic veggies. How will you top this?
ReplyDeletep.s. I love a jean dress. And with tights, flat boots, and striped shirt, this may the pinnacle of denim dress styling.
Nice vegetables! There's nothing like beautiful root vegetables in the early fall before you're sick of them and longing for spring!
ReplyDeleteUnlike A-Dubs, I don't always love a jean dress. But this one might just have changed my mind. It looks so sassy with the striped turtleneck underneath -- god knows I love me some horizontal stripes!
What do you put in your green smoothies?
ReplyDeleteI am sad that it is getting too late for farmer's market produce. The fresh, local stuff is always the best.
@Cynthia: sounds lovely. Have we seen this dress yet?
ReplyDelete@LaFille: Thanks, this is me post "run" and doing some physical labor. My carrots/cabbage are getting all cocky from the compliments.
@A-Dubs: I'll have to think about later props. This styling was last minute, so I am flattered you like it!
@Rebecca: Usually: kale, beets, carrots, ginger root, flax seed, apple, and maybe a handful of grapes. Sometimes I use bagged spinach and add parsley.
@E-Jo: this top totally screamed "E-Jo" from my closet!
I love some bright accessories!
ReplyDeleteNo, only in my dress inventory post as one of the ones that needs to be altered, but we might see it tomorrow. I'll make it "Rad copycat day".
ReplyDeleteIt's so refreshing to see those fresh veggies in your hands. I think people should eat fresh veggies more. I'd love to try that veggie juice!
ReplyDeleteOkay, so I am a bit late here, but I have to tell you that I tried to by veggies at the grocery store, in addition to the farm share. I could not do it. They were TOO GROSS. I am going to hit a farmer's market on the way home.
ReplyDeleteMan, look at what I miss when I don't have power. You, my friend, or a prop master! And that is a terrific way to style a denim dress. I'm saving the photo, again.
