Today is
Breton Stripes day, it appears. And I'd love to throw in a picture of myself layering my striped shirt under a dress, but sadly, my mental haze during the last stages of finishing a project this week, I have no idea where my camera (it's a very slim, green point and shoot) went. I am assuming that Buster dragged it off and hid it as payback for me taking away his chickpea/soccer ball. Hopefully, I'll find it soon.
Today is also exactly one week before my spring semester starts. I know that this will elicit no sympathy, as many members of style nation have been back at the semesterly (or regular work) grind for a while. I like to spend the last week before classes start fretting over my syllabi and generally feeling nervous. But then when classes actually start, I am generally pretty calm. I don't understand the nervousness given that I've taught one class 10 times now, and the second class will have a lot of repeat students. Maybe I'm just excited.
In the meantime, here is an pictures of
older younger Rad (2009) surrounded by my old housemates (back when I lived in a hipster hovel in Crown Heights and every week or so, I'd participate in an art project). This is one our "bug's eye perspective" art projects gone silly. I don't know why we decided to all wear stripes that day. We're laughing because the artist (left-most) had to set the timer on the DSLR on the ceiling and then jump to join us on the floor.
