Winter Floral
Happy Monday, Stylenation! How was your weekend? Mine was super productive, although I probably should have spent a little more time relaxing as I'm anticipating a pretty busy week at work. My busiest time of the year is from about mid-January until the end of March, and based on various deadlines I have coming up, the next few weeks might be rough. Yet I still prefer working at such a crazy pace to not having anything to do at work. I kind of thrive under the pressure of deadlines. Anyone else feel that way?

Even though the floral shirt isn't grey, paired with the grey pants, it creates nice grey-ish line. Especially with that awesome collar.
ReplyDeleteI think we might actually have shared a brain this morning when getting dressed. Purple cardigan? Check. Floral top? Check. Not boots? Check. I even thought about wearing grey pants before I went with black.
ReplyDeleteThat blouse is full of floral win!
ReplyDeleteI am going through an extremely busy stretch in January and February. If I can keep my head above water until March, I think I might survive.
Oooh! I like the floral. A great way to add a little zing to the winter snow. Your dog also looks very approving :)
ReplyDeleteWhat I pretty blouse! I'm the same way with deadlines. Without them, I can't get anything done. The adrenaline, the pressure, the potential to be shamed in front of my colleagues... AH! :D
ReplyDeleteYou're looking ahead toward spring, aren't you? It's nice to see floral print in winter--a reminder of what's gestating under the snow.
ReplyDeleteI like the collar on this blouse as well (and I like your dog, what a cutie).
ReplyDeleteOne month out of work...I miss deadlines!
I really like the floral blouse. I prefer work to be busy rather than slow. I like feeling productive.
ReplyDeleteI am definitely more productive with a deadline. My creative writing students are forever thanking me for the deadlines I set for them, but need someone to set them for me! The ruffles on this blouse are just wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI'm also way more productive with a deadline and when I'm busy. It's something about the forced schedule that seems to work for me. If I'm left to my own devices, I find it really hard to get things done.
ReplyDeleteI adore this blouse. And with the purple cardi? Totally lovely.
This is winter-y but with hopes of spring, which is actually what I need to see this week as I stare down yet another snowstorm. Straddling the seasons: well done!
ReplyDeleteI love this blouse - I'm a fan of the ditsy (busy?) prints and just adore the colors on this one. And it's perfect paired with this cardigan and the gray pants.
ReplyDeleteI like to be kept busy at work, but not overwhelmed. Just a good, steady flow of work is what I prefer, but yes, I'd rather be super busy than have nothing at all to do.
Rad: Wow, you're right about the grey line - I didn't see it before! Maybe my pants have a little blue or purple in them? Hmm.
ReplyDeleteCynthia: Sharing my brain in the morning would at least explain why I move so slow some mornings :) I still can't get over how much we were dressed alike today!
LHdM: Here's hoping we can both stay afloat for the next couple of months!
Allison: I do have to run all of my outfits past Jude. Thankfully he usually approves!
Laura: The pressure of being shamed in front of colleagues - that cracked me up. I suppose because it's true
Charlotte: Yes! Spring can't possibly get here soon enough.
Sheila: I miss deadlines when I don't have them too. That almost seems wrong.
Rebecca: I agree on feeling productive. The day seems to fly by as I check items off my to-do list.
Terri: I get that, I have to set most of my own deadlines too. Part of why I'm so busy some weeks is that I've set like 10 deadlines, then I have maybe 1 or 2 the next week. Spacing those out might be helpful.
E-Jo: Yep, being left to my own devices is why I don't get a lot done some days when I'm working from home.
Kelly: I hope you don't get another bad storm! The snow just started here, and we're due for up to 20 inches!
Gracey: I think this could be considered ditsy floral. I'd love a steady flow at work, but it never seems to work that way - it's always one extreme or the other.
It's funny I was just having the same convo with my advisor. We were comparing calenders and I said "Wow, there doesn't seems to be a lot of time this semester". But better busy so it flys by! I have also always adored you pup. Is it sad that my fav bloggers are the ones that share puppy pictures?
ReplyDeleteAll and All? Love the outfit, the shoes are the perfect icing on the cake.
I wouldn't say that I thrive, but I would much rather be busy at work than bored.
ReplyDeleteWinter florals are a must!
Chic on the Cheap
Miss B: Nah, there's nothing wrong with liking blogs with dogs. It rhymes, how could that be sad? The joke around here is that TCC is Jude's blog, and my clothes just happen to be in the background.
ReplyDeleteLyddie: I see you're sporting a winter floral today too!
