Missing in Action

Happy Tuesday!  Things have been pretty busy around here at TCC Midwest (we can have locations too, right Rad?) so, although I've had some decent outfits the past few days, I just haven't had time for pictures and posts.  I had a fairly busy weekend, and on top of that, I've had a lot of annoying work stuff on my mind.  Also, as of today, I don't have a computer - my personal one died earlier this year, and my work one is getting a new hard drive (the second in a couple of months!).  Thankfully, fella has an old Mac for me to use in the meantime.

Here's what I wore for a busy Monday.  It's getting chilly here, and although it's perfect tights weather, I opted for some comfy wide-leg pants instead.  I had to get to work extra early so that I could leave nice and early, rush home, walk & feed Jude, change and head downtown for a Bears game with my brother and the fella.  Football is probably my least favorite sport, but Bears games are always a good time, and it was pretty fun sitting in between my two favorite sports nerds for the entire thing.  My brother is here from California and is off to visit our parents tomorrow, so I'm off work today to hang out with him while he's in town.  It's always fun to play tourist here, and the break from work isn't bad either.

Anyway, how's your week going?

  2. I love your wide-leg pants.

I watched a bit of that Bears game (I'm a huge football fan).

  3. Yeay, you're back! Did you get your hair done? It looks dark and lovely.
Also, I like the texture of your pants. Are they like a herribone or something? Great necklace.

  4. I had the same Q as Rad, your hair looks darker : ) I luv! those trousers.

Hafta say it is tough to post outfits when you've got to be at work early and get home late afternoon. I don't know about you, but when I get home - I just want to change into something comfy ( and that means t's and lounge pants ) : )

  5. The gray pants/turquoise shirt combo is nifty. Looks just right for fall.

I really liked Chicago, the one time I was there for a conference. Taking the metro from and to the airport gave me time to imagine all the different neighborhoods & pick out the one I wanted to live in.

  6. You guys totally get to have locations too!

I love the wide leg trousers. And the teal looks amazing on you.

I've got my dad & his girlfriend coming into town next week and I'm also looking forward to playing tourist with them. And having them take me out for dinner on my birthday.

  7. Also, I love the band posters in the background of this shot. I LOVE The National (clearly I'm a snoop who zoomed in to see the posters in the background).

  8. To answer some questions/comments....

The hair? Yes, it's darker. I didn't want to go quite that dark, but it's growing on me :)

The pants are some kind of wool print. It's not herringbone, but I don't know how I'd describe it. I'll have to snap a close-up the next time I wear them. But they are lined with something silk-like, so they're super comfy! And I LOVE grey and turquoise - I sport that combo a lot in the fall/winter.

La Fille - that's exactly what I do when I get home too! If I don't get pictures in the morning, it often doesn't happen. I'm in my sweats as we speak!

And E-Jo: I love the National too! They're pretty great live, and I just missed seeing them on Sunday (sold out). We're in the process of redocorating what with our new furniture arriving this week, but I'll try to get more band posters in future pics :) Also, happy almost birthday!

  9. Is it really that cold out? Wool print pants. It was muggy here today.
I'm in my "Huck Finn" outfit, which Blokey finds "cute."

  10. Did I say wool? I meant tweed. Woops. It's a tweed-like print. The fabric is heavier than other dress pants I have, but definitely not wool!
