Long Weekend

I hope everyone has been enjoying their holiday weekend!  After kicking the weekend off with a camping trip up near Wisconsin, I spent the remainder of the weekend running errands and doing fun things like house cleaning and dog grooming.  Okay, that's not so fun, but it needs to be done sometimes.  This is what I wore yesterday for some shopping in Lincoln Park and dinner at my fella's brother's house.  It's a bit of a remix of the red shoes and green cardigan combo from last week, perfect for the slightly chillier weather we had here over the weekend.

I'm not too excited to get back to work tomorrow, so instead, let's enjoy some camping pictures.  Have a good week, everyone!

  1. Great photos, Anne! Everything seems to sparkle. And what's a camping trip without dogs? They enjoy it more than anyone.

  3. Ooh, you got some sun over the weekend! I like the green and blue combos. And how come you still look stylish and elegant while in a sweatshirt?
    Who's the cute other doggy?

  4. Gorgeous shots, Anne, and that IS the perfect accessory. Also, did Jude meet his girlfriend on his own at the site, or was it a set-up?

  5. Charlotte: The dogs definitely had the best time!

Lyddie: I agree, but hopefully the short week seems shorter than I think it'll be too :)

Rad: That's just my residual sunburn and poor lighting. And I think the key to sweatshirt chic is to have one that actually fits, rather than being super oversized (as comfy as that is).

A-Dubs: It was a set-up - Stella is my friends' dog, and we've been eager for them to meet each other for a while now. They got along pretty well, so well that Stella kept breaking out of her tent at night to run over to our tent and whine at Jude. It was pretty adorable, albeit annoying.

  6. I love the green cardigan & stripey tank combination. As you'll see on my recent post, this is a color/ pattern pairing I'm currently obsessed with. We're like this (imagine me copying A-Dubs' fingers to eyes thing).

I can't imagine a better accessory for camping and I love Jude & his girlfriend. He should totally be the mini-FR's online boyfriend -- if he's looking to get a little pansexual.

  8. That blue blue sky is amazing. Love the camping chic and essential accessory! I don't think I ever look that clean while camping.

  9. Terrific shots. Jude's girlfriend is a knock out. Good taste Jude.
I kid you not, I almost wore the same outfit today, stripes, green sweater, red shoes, but navy pants. Anne, you and me, we are like this.
