Dancing Days

I'm happy that Friday is here again.  How was everyone's week?  And what are you all up to this weekend?  Chicago's German-American Fest is this weekend, about 4 blocks away from me, so I'm looking forward to some sausage, beer and Gemütlichkeit (Rad - is that proper usage?  Am I even thinking of the right word?).

The cooler weather seems like it's here to stay (well, since it's Chicago, there's a good chance that it could be 80 again in a few days), so I've been avoiding skirts this week.  I miss them, but it's too cold for bare legs, and I'm not ready for tights just yet.  I've been having fun with pants though, since it's been a long time since I've actually worn them on a regular basis, so it's like I have a brand new look.  The inspiration for this outfit was Rad's striped scarf earlier this week.

Sweater: Loft
Scarf: The Limited
Jeans: Gap
Shoes: Born
Earrings: New York & Company

Jude did some serious photo-crashing.  And he worked so hard to get in the pictures, it'd be a shame not to share it.

One of Jude's many hobbies/talents is dancing with us.  I'd say this dog has nothing on Jude, but he probably wouldn't let us dress him up in sequined dance costumes.

  1. Aw, dancing Jude! Stripey scarf. You look great in your Friday outfit and I hope your weekend rocks.

  3. That sweater is a great color, and a great color on you, Anne. The cool weather has the effect of opening up an entire new closet, I think.

  4. I'm in a similar weather situation: too cold for bare legs, not ready for tights, rediscovering my pants after weeks of shorts and skirts.

  5. That's so funny, we were just talking about that dog last night but I hadn't seen the video. Thanks for linking to it!

I really love the punch of pattern in the scarf, that really adds a lot of fun to the outfit! Hope you have a great weekend!

  6. A Friday poem for you:

I love blue on me and you.
I also love the dancing Jude.
    Enjoy sausage and beer,
    But then get over here,
So we can bond over beer, clothes, and food.

  7. Or get over here.
    Many want the awesome Anne
    Sorry Jude can't come.

  8. Thanks, Rad! I needed cheering up, like, right this second, and that was perfect :)

  9. I have to bring it with my outfits AND write poetry now? Also, I really want to train my cats to dance. That's not going to happen, is it?

Great outfit and I love the scarf that both you and Rad are rocking. I'm not much of a scarf person, except as outdoor accessory but you are making me want to try this because it looks so breezy and cool.

  10. I love stripey scarf and dancing puppy. I'm not ready to give up the skirts just yet, and I still feel like I need a more stylish wardrobe of pants to want to wear them more often, and maybe that's not possible?
