A Not-So-Summer Skirt
The last time I wore this skirt, in a pretty similar color scheme in March, I noted that I was breaking the rules by wearing a warm weather skirt while it was still really cold out. I was such a rebel back then, wasn't I? The funny thing is, the skirt didn't get worn during the summer at all. It's one of the many skirts and dresses I have that are too short for summer's bare legs, but I'm totally fine with wearing when it's cool enough to sport some tights underneath.
Cardigan & Skirt: The Limited

I'm such a stripes lover, I rock my more summery striped skirt all year long. Nothing wrong with that!
ReplyDeleteI have a lot of skirts like that, made for summer, but too short for my liking, so they wait to be worn until colder weather hits. It's got a lovely shape to it and I love how you've worn it with that beautiful aqua cardi!
ReplyDeleteI have a white-backgrounded floral skirt that is totally a winter skirt. It looks so much better with black tights and cardigan to frame it that every time I tried it on this summer I just failed to wear it.
ReplyDeleteLove it. I think it's perfect with tights.
ReplyDeleteNicely done. I love how you've grounded all the lightness with some black tights and kickin' bootage.
ReplyDeleteI definitely have a skirt or two that is meant for summer but that I feel is too short (for my comfort) to wear without tights. I love how you made this one work for autumn with the tights and awesome boots.
ReplyDeleteI like the skirt with tights. We have so much cool weather in the Midwest, that you have to rock the summer skirts year round.
ReplyDeleteLove how you winterized that skirt...more bang for your buck! I love to try to style my summer dresses with tights to get more wear out of them!
ReplyDeleteLove the look of this! With all this rain, a good punch of color with some black tights is a great antidote to the gloom.
ReplyDeleteSeason, shmeason. You look great!
