Good morning, Style Nation! How was your weekend? Mine was busy. So busy that I don't have an outfit post for you today. I typically take my outfit pictures ahead of time, but I didn't have the chance, so I'll just post that later today or tomorrow. I can tell you that today's outfit is built around covering an unfortunately placed sunburn. It was 80 degrees here in Chicago yesterday! It was awesome, but I spent a lot of time out in the sun early in the morning and, being April and all, I didn't think about sunscreen. I know, that's crazy when you're as prone to burning as I am. But at least I have a base layer burn going into the trip to California, right? Or does that logic only work with tanning?
In any event, I mentioned in Friday's post that I was getting my hair cut over the weekend. I kept the length about the same, but we (as in me and my stylist) decided to make my bangs a little fuller. So here's what that looks like.

Yesterday I went downtown with Fella and my friend from Ohio so that I could cheer them on in running the Shamrock Shuffle 8k. This is us killing time while waiting for the train. I quickly lost the sweater because it was so warm and sunny. Definitely rare for an April day here.
How was your weekend?
The hair is CUTE! I love it.
ReplyDeleteOooh I am liking the fuller bangs! Sounds like you had awesome weather on the weekend. Fingers crossed for more to come! California? I'm officially jealous :)
ReplyDeleteI like your new hair cut. The bangs look great!
ReplyDeleteGlad you had such a warm weekend! The sunburn is a bummer, but 80° would be heaven to me right about now. Glad it was a good one!
ReplyDeleteThumbs down to the first sunburn of the season. A sunburn in April seems like a cruel joke. But I hear you on the forgetting sunscreen because, as a fellow pale-y, I always forget too.
ReplyDeleteI love your hair - it looks wonderful on you! Also, sorry about the sunburn; I don't burn easily or often, but when I do, it's not at all fun. At least the rest of your weekend was good, yes?
ReplyDeleteLove the new 'do! You look super cute, and the green shirt is a great color (and the burn just looks like a healthy glow). Yeay for Fella's race. Base layer burn is cracking me up.
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I love the bangs.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'd rather have sunburn than be wearing boots and a winter coat still, so it's a fair trade.
ReplyDeleteBeing a pale-y can be so annoying sometimes. I got my first sunburn in February a couple of years ago, so April doesn't seem too unreasonable.
ReplyDeleteOh no Rad, that's my usual red healthy glow - these pictures are pre-sunburn.
ReplyDeletePS - I know I owe you an email, which I'm getting to...
The bangs look great! So sad (and jealous!) to hear about the sunburn.
ReplyDeleteI like the cut!
