Variations on a Theme

02/16/11
A few weeks ago, I brought this blouse out and paired it with winter pieces.  It's supposed to get close to 50 degrees today, so I made it less cold-weather appropriate, and updated it to be a little bit more spring-like, all while keeping the same color pallet.

I have to leave to go fight traffic into the office (the one downside of exercising before work is that I have to drive in, ugh!), so I'll leave you with a few extra photos.  Jude was super excited to do pictures this morning.

  2. It got cold here, so sadly I can't join in being excited about the warmth. That floral shirt is super versatile. I like that it's floral but still pretty neutral (and thus goes with everything).

  3. It's supposed to be 80 here by the end of the week. I'm not going to be wearing those sweaters in my "not a 30", I don't think...we have probably seen the last of cool weather, which is frightening, because we're going to burst into flames walking out the door by June.

  4. I love the floral top. I'm longing for warmer weather!
Jude seems especially peppy today. Obviously she approves of the ensemble.

  6. Excellent outfit today!

The weather here (West coast of Canada) is nutty right now. There's blue sky out there, but snow on the hills, and they're calling for thunderstorms this afternoon. Yikes! I want spring!

  7. Love that shirt. Our weather too is on the upswing into warm weather though right now that means grey skies, rain and 80% humidity.

  8. I just love how that purple cardi looks on you (perhaps you can pair it with orange (lol)). And that really is a very versatile floral - very nice.

  9. Purple and gray is such a great combination. Very nice outfit, Anne. It looks comfortable, yet it's polished. Great combination!

  10. Lyddie: It's going to hover around 40 here for the next week, which is warm compared to most Februarys at least :)

Rad: Sorry about the cold weather. Don't worry, I'm sure we're due for more cold and snow before spring comes. And who would've guessed how versatile floral is?

Cynthia: 80? So jealous. I'd love bursting-into-flames weather at this point.

Allison: I assume Jude approves of all of my ensembles.

Rebecca: Enjoy the warm weather while it lasts!

Sheila: Thunderstorms in the winter? Wow, that is nutty.

    E-Jo: 80% humidity? Can't say I'm envious of that.

Gracey: I think I'd have to work my way up to pairing purple and orange :)

Charlotte: Thanks! It was extremely comfy, which is definitely important for a long day at work.
