Taking a Step Back

11/09/11

I don't know how to say this aside from just coming out and saying it - I'm going to be stepping back a bit from this blog right now.  It's not that I don't like sharing my office style with you all, but I just don't feel like I have a lot to actually write about here.  Sartorially, I've gotten myself into a pretty good groove.  Some may call it a rut, but what I've come to realize is that it's just my own personal style.  I've found it, and since it's pretty consistent, there's less posts where I'm experimenting with new looks or seeking advice on how to wear things.  I'm just happy and comfortable with the way I'm dressing, which is a pretty good place to reach.  Now I have outfit photos just sitting on my desktop, waiting to be posted because I don't have much to say about them.  I'll still be posting outfits, but probably not as often.  Meanwhile, if you need your fill of me in the blogosphere, you're welcome to check out my photo blog, where I'm currently about halfway through my own 365 project.  And because I really enjoy writing and clearly needed another blog, I recently started up a personal blog.  So there you have it.

And who knows, maybe this opens the door for Rad to finally return to TCC :)

  1. I know how you feel! I like the people connections that come from having a blog, but I am a little bored with my outfits-only format and I kind of like my style where it's at.  I'm considering what to do about it.

  2. Anne, this is so bittersweet! On one hand, I am glad that you feel happy and comfortable with your style. But I will oh so miss your posts! I will be checking out your other blogs though!

  3. Oh, Anne, I'm going to miss you.  I always enjoy what you have to say and TCC is one of the first blogs I really started reading and loving.

  5. Wow, that's so cool to hear! And I'll still be around.. just less for the time being.

  6. Non style posts are good too, so I'll look at your other blogs.

  7. I'm glad that the blog has helped you find your style, and I hope that when you decide to start experimenting again, you start posting again!
I'll definitely visit your 365 project!

  8. Of course, this had to happen when I finally added you to my reading list again--I forgot when I switched blogger accounts that it not all transferred! Consider updating when you have something you really wanna share.

  9. Booooo! I mean, of course I am glad you have found your style groove, and you know I added your new blog to my list the second I saw this post, but I am going to miss your shining hair and smile every day. How will I know if we both are wearing the same item anymore? ;-)
I think blending style and non-style posts is perfectly appropriate, so if you don't want to start new blogs for each endeavor, you don't necessarily have to. Just a thought!

  10. Thanks, Kristen!  I felt like I should start another one though, since this is also Rad's blog.  But I'll pop my head in over here from time to time :)

  11. What's funny is that I thought I added your new blog to my reader when you started it, but just realized last week that I hadn't!
