Day 2

day 2

Hello, Style Nation.  I hope everyone stayed warm despite the ice/wind/snow that slammed the midwest and parts of the northeast (although it was a balmy 30 something with not such bad ice around my neighborhood).  The only bummer was some stalled transit.
Today is my second day.  The real lessons start today.  I am itching to go back to more casual outfits, but I am making a point of being more classic and teachery for at least 4 weeks.  This red shirt, donated by a friend in grad school, fits with the great red themes that Anne and Terry have been wearing beautifully.  I like red a lot, but I am generally loath to buy non-neutrals.  Perhaps I will change my ways in a few months.
So far, Blokey and I are settling into the routine of the semester well.  I wish I had a bit more energy.  I think that my big deadline sapped more of my energy than I want to admit.
I hope everyone has a lovely Thursday!

Shirt: Banana Republic (friend hand me down)
Skirt: Limited (gift from mom)

  2. That color is great on you. You don't have to buy non-neutrals...just consider that color a neutral and you're set!

  5. I think the red looks great on you! It's not a super obnoxious bright red, the deep hue makes it more sophisticated, so it's a good place to start on color! While I didn't want the 5ft snow piles to get any bigger here, I kinda wanted that big storm to hit us just because it looked so crazy and fun! And I want a snow day.

  12. The color is very flattering. This look is a bit more casual than the first day, but still very commanding! Nicely done and thanks for the mention.

  15. Love it. Love. It. You look great in your preferred neutrals, of course, but that rich red next to your skin and hair is Love. Ly.

Plus, you wore it with those BA boots of which I cannot get enough. In fact, I'm scrolling back up now.
