Go Bears!
Happy Friday! I don't have a very exciting outfit today. I may have otherwise, but in honor of the Bears v. Packers playoff game this Sunday, they've declared it "jersey day" at my office (this is about as exciting as Hawaiian Shirt Day). Not that I actually own a jersey, but I have some cheapie Bears t-shirts. And it's pretty hard to pass up being able to wear jeans and a t-shirt to work.
To celebrate the Bears in the playoffs, we're also having a chili cook-off at work today! I don't think my entry will win, although I do have a pretty tasty recipe (it includes a can of High Life and my secret ingredient, cinnamon), but it's nice to do something fun at work for a change. I know, it probably seems like we have nothing but parties, food days, holiday celebrations and other excuses for fun at my office. But we've earned it.
I picked up this cardigan at a Gap Outlet in Indiana on my way home from Ohio the other day. I really liked the space-dyed print, but wasn't sure what I could wear it with. But, duh, it's a neutral, so probably everything. And it'll help me fight the cold, -1 degree weather we're having here. Eek.
What are you up to this weekend? Anyone else watching the NFL playoffs?

Go BEARS!!! I like the cardigan - looks great with the Bears shirt.
ReplyDeletebrrrr, it's chilly out here!
I, too, enjoy the cardigan and look forward to seeing future iterations of it. Maybe some pattern mixing could happen?
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend, and enjoy the game.
I like your t-shirt. I'll cheer for anyone playing the Packers, so Go Bears!
ReplyDeleteCute new top. I can see you remixing it belted over dresses and skirts for work. The slightly off white is a great look for you.
ReplyDeleteI don't really watch sports, but I enjoy the energetic company of my friends (and nachos) during such events. I saw two groups of youths almost get into a fight the other day about the relative merits of the Steelers.
"(this is about as exciting as Hawaiian Shirt Day)." Oh Hawaiian shirt Fridays are not that bad. But Go Bears from an ex chi town person now living on the west coast.
ReplyDeleteLike everyone else, I love the sweater. Maybe you could invert your usual colorful cardigan, neutral shirt pairing?
ReplyDeleteA chili cook-off sounds totally fun!
I'm cheering for the Packers (*ducks*), but yes, I'll be watching the playoffs too.
ReplyDeleteIgnore the pattern of the cardigan and focus on matching the overall light grey colour (that's the secret of mixing patterns, by the way). It's a great shape - I can see it belted over a pencil skirt with boots.
GO Packers!
ReplyDeleteI had to get my $.02 in there.
I also love the new cardi...very remixable.
cinnamon in chili? I have a new bottle of Penzey's cinnamon...I may have to unearth your secret recipe.
ReplyDeleteOk, I must try that recipe! I had chili tonight, it's a winter staple! I think you look super cute in your Bears t and cardigan!
