My Cohabitant and an Inspired Beer T-Shirt

closet 007
When I started contributing to TCC again regularly, I think Fella may have thought it a little odd that I'd want to share my daily outfits with the internet.  He's gotten over that and is used to the idea of it all, but still pokes fun at me sometimes anyway.  He and Jude started posing after I finished my pictures yesterday, so I had to share this.  If anything, I think it proves that he's a natural.  Obviously Jude thought it was a normal blog picture.  And now you all know that we still haven't taken down our Christmas tree.  Woops.

Over on MinnChic yesterday Rebecca pointed out that one of the benefits of working from home is being able to wear beer t-shirts.  She's so right, and fortunately I have a pretty decent collection of beer tees.  Well, 3 of them.  I picked this one up at the Coors brewery in Golden, Colorado a couple summers ago while Fella and I were out there for a family wedding.  I think if we were to have an Us Weekly-style "Who Wore it Best?" poll Rebecca would win hands-down, but I'm still sick, so cut me some slack on the lack of creativity.

And if you wondered, my training class yesterday went surprisingly well.  Honestly my biggest concern was that I would go into a sneezing fit in the middle of it, which would be preserved forever since our classes are all recorded and stored on the company intranet for any of our 50,000+ employees to listen to anytime.  So that not happening was a plus.  I'm not sure I'd be able to lead classes like this everyday, but I had a good time doing it.

I'm off to whip up some tomato soup for lunch since we seem to have run out of canned soup.  I could just walk to the store to buy some, but this way I get to stay warm.  How's your Thursday shaping up?

  1. Anne--glad to hear that the presentation went well. Love your expression in photo #2--although I don't own a single beer tee-shirt!

  3. Working from home is great from a fashion standpoint. It makes buying a lot of clothes hard to justify, though.

Christmas comes but once a year...enjoy the tree.

  4. Fella is definitely a natural. He could do a post on men's fashion!
Glad to hear the presentation went well!
I think this is a great work-from-home look. I have a hard time getting dressed when I work from home.

  5. Aw, that picture of your fella and dog is just too cute. I like his pose as well.
I think this is a pretty sophisticated beer t-shirt!

  6. Yay! A beer tee (wrote the same comment on Rebecca's wall).
Today is Three Kings Day (the 12th day of Christmas). Traditionally, today would be the day to take down your tree and nibble all the goodies (sugarplums) you used to decorate it. So, traditionally speaking, you're right on time :) (Random things I know because of my job)
Hope you're feeling better. Soup cures all. Also, thanks for the supporting comment yesterday. Our Style Nation, all about the community.
p.s. I wore something for you today...

  8. Cute beer T! I had no idea it was a beer shirt until you pointed it out. I like your sneakers too - are they shiny?

To answer your question about the target dress - it was from last year or the year before. They have a similar style this year but it has a v-neck and is not as flattering (at least on me).

  10. Terri: Funny, I kinda hated all the goofy expressions in my pictures today - this was the least bad in my mind, so thanks for mentioning that!

    Rebecca: Thanks for the inspiration!

Charlotte: You're right about justifying purchases. But knowing that I only spend 3 days/week in the office, I try to buy versatile items that will work in casual and business-casual outfits.

Allison: Maybe Fella and Bunsen Honeydew could collaborate once they get their respective blazers :)

Rad: I think Jude coached Fella on the posing.

SU: Wow, thanks for all the Christmas trivia! I did not know that. Our tree might come down on the 14th or 15th day, so it's only a little late. Did you wear that bright blue scarf that I like? Hmm, I'll be eagerly waiting for your post!

Sarah: Yep, they're silver with a light grey mesh (it's these, but bright blue instead of pink http://www.joesnewbalanceoutlet.com/detail.asp?style=WA460SP&s1=Froogle&s2=DF&s3=WA460SP). And I think I saw those dresses at Target this week! I didn't have time to try them on, but I want to get back to do that.

E-Jo: Finding someone who would be photogenic for a blog that had yet to be conceived was a must for me!
